Agoria Automotive Mission to Detroit

IMS is looking forward to partner with Agoria to inspire and inform the Detroit Automotive Industry. This trade mission will also showcase solutions and innovations in Vehicle Electrification, User Experience, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Smart Production.

Why participate?

  • You will have the opportunity to present your solutions to Ford, Hyundai America Technical Center, Nissan North America Technical Center and Stellantis and get in direct contact with their engineers and managers
  • You will network and connect with other automotive OEM’s and Suppliers in the region and with the other participants in the delegation
  • You will gain insights on the state of play of the automotive industry in the Detroit Region

Monday October 16:

  • Briefing & Welcome Reception offered by Flanders Investment & Trade

Tuesday October 17:

  • Tech Showcase at Hyundai America Technical Center (HATCI) HQ, including a VIP-Tour for Senior Management of HATCI
    A Tech Showcase is an on-site popup exhibition.  You will have a table and space to place 2 rollups.
    Located between Canton and Ann Arbor, this 220,000-square-foot state-of-the-art engineering and technology center is home to hundreds of America’s brightest engineers. They drive innovation with cutting-edge engineering design and development technology to create the next generation of safer, more efficient vehicles. HATCI HQ is the nucleus for designing, planning and overall development of Hyundai and KIA vehicles tailored for the North American market.
  • Supplier Innovation Workshop at Stellantis Technology Center
    During our Supplier Innovation Workshop you’ll be given a speaker slot to present your solutions.  All speakers will be grouped per topic (Electrification, User Experience, ADAS, Smart Production).
    The Stellantis Technology Center in Auburn Hills brings together cutting-edge scientific research, industry-leading creative design, vehicle development, engineering, manufacturing, marketing and corporate leadership all under one roof. The complex features:

    • Stellantis North America Headquarters: The 15-story building houses the top corporate executives and staff who handle legal issues, accounting, finance, government affairs, international operations, human resources, labor relations, communication, marketing, sales and service.
    • Chrysler Technology Center: The Tech Center houses a 170,000-square-foot Pilot Plant.
    • Scientific Laboratories: The Science Labs provide a level of scientific precision that cannot be achieved in open-road evaluations, and their close proximity to vehicle design and engineering operations helps reduce the time and cost of bringing new vehicles to market. The facility includes an Aero-Acoustic Wind Tunnel; Emissions Lab; Powertrain Test Center; Noise, Vibration and Harshness Lab; and Electromagnetic Compatibility Facility.

Wednesday October 18:

  • Tech Showcase at Nissan Technical Center North America (NTCNA) including a VIP-Tour for Senior Management of NTCNA

Nissan Technical Center North America (NTCNA) currently serves as the main campus for Nissan Motor Company’s Research and Development in the Americas with more than 1,200 employees. Nissan has been committed to research and development in Michigan for over 30 years. The facility houses production engineering, research and testing, purchasing, quality and administration operations.

NTCNA currently develops Nissan and INFINITI U.S.-market vehicles including Altima, Frontier, LEAF, Rogue, Sentra, Maxima, Pathfinder, Murano, TITAN, Versa and QX60. The Michigan-based team tested and validated systems such as Nissan ProPILOT Assist and Nissan LEAF e-Pedal onsite.

  • Tech Showcase at Ford Dearborn Research & Innovation Center (RIC) including a VIP-Tour for Senior Management of Ford

The Ford Research and Innovation Center in Dearborn is a cutting-edge facility where a dedicated team of over 10,000 researchers, engineers, and scientists collaborate to shape the future of mobility. As Ford’s primary hub for technological advancement, the center serves as a hub of innovation, focusing on the development of next-generation vehicles, advanced safety systems, autonomous driving technologies, electric and hybrid powertrains, and connectivity solutions.

Friday October 20:

  • IMS Breakfast Meeting (tbc)

International Management Solutions, Inc. (IMS) is an accounting, tax and consulting firm dedicated to assisting European companies in establishing their businesses in the United States. IMS has offices in Chicago, Detroit, New York, Tucson, Richmond, Bordeaux, and Brussels. During the Breakfast Meeting, insights will be shared on how to start a business in the United States.
